PINKO unveils fourth edition of REIMAGINE with Patrick McDowell

May 2022 - In May, PINKO will unveil the fourth collection of the REIMAGINE series, in collaboration with Patrick McDowell, SUSTAINABILITY DESIGN DIRECTOR of the brand. After three successful collections (FW20, SS21 and FW21), PINKO is once again investing in a new sustainable fashion perspective.

McDowell has once again joined forces with PINKO's Creative Director, Caterina Negra. In a quest for sustainability, the duo chose to focus on a mix of locally-supplied sustainable fabrics, producing pieces from a region in limited quantities, in order to reduce the collection's carbon footprint.

This season's sustainable base fabrics consist of organic cotton, low environmental impact cotton and an array of recycled fibers. These include old fishing nets from the ocean used to make lycra. By collaborating with several top suppliers, the designers have managed to create iconic and versatile summer dresses from low-impact cotton.

"I am really excited to announce REIMAGINE Pinko x Patrick McDowell, Collection 4 - A new, somehow sexy, version of my designer signature, combining my signature volume and sporty feel with a much more sensual edge. As Sustainability Design Director at PINKO, it is an honor to witness the ever-evolving strategy we are implementing. As always, we use these collections to try out new and greener ways of working for the company. I will also definitely continue to push for more responsible ways of working in the future."

- Patrick McDowell

Patrick's signature style of volume and sportiness gets a refresh this season with the introduction of sexy silhouettes, while continuing to develop his identity as a designer. Despite working with a muted color palette, the collection includes a bold touch of yellow. This modern capsule collection inspires women to dress boldly.

Lycra dresses and co-ords are intersected with panels of translucent mesh, giving them a sensual look. T-shirts, pants and mini-skirts made of organic cotton add volume to the skin-tight athletic pieces. T-shirts with ruched and draped sheer jersey add a sexy yet soft touch, while corsets made of lycra and cotton are the centerpiece of this bold and seductive collection.

The inspiration behind this 4th collaboration is modern and streamlined. With dramatic and opulent shapes, the collection reflects the flair and idea of the Matrix in Versailles, the London club scene, depicted in the voluminous shapes of mid-century couture.

The collection will be available on PINKO.com, and in select PINKO stores, starting May 12, 2022.
